Policies & Guarantees

72-Hour Health Warranty

The breeder, herein known as KelleyDoodles, agrees that the puppy is in good health at the time of sale. KelleyDoodles agrees to replace the puppy if a licensed veterinarian deems the puppy to be in a non-healthy state upon arrival. The examining veterinarian must submit a letter to the breeder explaining the concern causing the return. KelleyDoodles reserves the right to have said puppy examined by their own personal veterinarian prior to refunding any money or providing a replacement. Returning the puppy due to a family dispute, disliking of the puppy, misunderstanding regarding effort required to raise said puppy is not considered reasons for any type of replacement. Great care has been exercised to ensure the puppy is free of parasites, worms, or coccidia. Since these are very common in puppies, the guarantee does not cover these very economically treated conditions. Examination by a licensed veterinarian must be completed within 72-hours of the new owner receiving said puppy. If the transfer of ownership takes place on Sunday, then the transfer is considered to be at 8:00 AM on the Monday that follows. Failure to have the puppy examined within 72 hours voids all warranties extended by KelleyDoodles.

1 Year Health Guarantee

This information only applies to the 1-year genetic health guarantee given with the said puppy, only applicable if the 72-hour guarantee stipulations were met. This 1 year guarantee begins at the date of birth of said puppy. Health guarantee provided by KelleyDoodles against genetic defects that make the puppy unsuitable as a 'family pet'. This is defined as a genetic abnormality, only genetic issues. This does not pertain to idiopathic disorders of any kind. Furthermore, defined where the disease would progress, making euthanasia necessary of the said puppy. Buyer understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered serious or life-threatening and therefore are not covered: hooded vulva, umbilical hernia, cherry eye, undescended testicle, under or overbite, missing teeth, or grade 1 or 2 patellas. Additionally, this being a cross breed, KelleyDoodles can only estimate the adult weight, color, and coat type. There are no guarantees for final weight, color, or coat type. All puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian before going to forever homes. If any concerns are determined at vet visits, buyer will be notified immediately. If a genetic defect occurs that makes the puppy unsuitable as a family pet after the 72-hour guarantee, the buyer will need to notify the breeder immediately (within 48 hours of diagnosis.) Two certified letters from examining veterinarians must be submitted via certified mail within one week of diagnosis. The genetic disorder claim must be for a true 100% genetic disorder and not a disorder that could arguably be caused by environmental factors including any idiopathic diseases. KelleyDoodles reserves the right to have said puppy/dog examined by their own veterinarian prior to any reconciliation. Beyond the 72 hour guarantee, no monetary refunds are given, only replacement. KelleyDoodles is not responsible for any veterinarian expenses, transportation fees, supply fees, or non-refundable deposit once the buyer takes ownership of the puppy. Should an eligible genetic defect be determined beyond the 72 hour guarantee a replacement puppy would be offered when one of the same breed - same gender is available. For any guarantee to be valid, the said puppy must have not been used for breeding purposes.

KelleyDoodles cannot guarantee that your puppy will never ever develop any health problems, just as a pediatrician cannot guarantee a child will never develop any health problems in the future. While KelleyDoodles makes every effort to produce only healthy offspring, some things are simply not predictable. Parent dogs at KelleyDoodles are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems; otherwise, we would not breed them. That means our puppies are much less likely to develop future problems. Genetic testing that is advised by licensed veterinarians are performed, unnecessary testing is not. If anything should occur with your puppy, you are required to inform us so we can evaluate the parents and other puppies from the litter in an attempt to determine the cause of the ailment and to eliminate the issue from our breeding program.
